We excel at custom itinerary planning based on your program objectives, and are equally at home with everything from an intimate 50-cabin charter for an anniversary celebration – to a fleet of 5 vessels chartered dockside as auxiliary for a city-wide event. Our role with Super Bowl 2005 in Jacksonville was particularly wide-ranging and integral to the success of that event. The challenge: Jacksonville’s hotel room inventory alone was inadequate to meet NFL requirements.
Landry & Kling developed procurement criteria and served as the Jacksonville Host Committee’s chief liaison for the three cruise lines and five ships chartered, plus all of the entities that were involved in the planning and execution of this event – including the Coast Guard, Marine Patrol, local police, state and federal government agencies, US Dept of Homeland Security, the US armed forces, office of the mayor, utility providers and port officials. We even coordinated construction of a temporary terminal large enough to handle simultaneous embarkation of three full-scale cruise ships.
